Courtney Piggott sees himself as the pinnacle of investigative journalism. Having broken the story on killer Compton Graves, he is granted an interview which he hopes will reveal further victims. But Compton's ability to anticipate his interviewer’s every manoeuvre puts him in control from the get-go, much to his adversary’s frustration.

It is a tale of revenge that explores a value in lacking remorse and renouncing redemption; and examines what it means to be, and who is, truly innocent or guilty.

We are seeking to raise £5000 to cover the cost of the location, cast & crew, equipment, props & wardrobe, travel, accommodation & food, post-production and film festival submissions.

So, we are reaching out to you; inviting you to be a part of our phenomenal team. We are working our hardest to make this dream become a reality, but we simply cannot do it without your help. Your contribution counts, so browse the list to see how much you can really make a difference.

The story takes place in a criminal ayslum in the city of LaPorte.

LaPorte exists in a retro-futuristic dystopia; a world created from fusion, anchored in the early-Edwardian era, littered with anachronisms. The populace live under an authoritarian government, within which corruption runs deep, and the exploitation of the people is rife.

While this outside world will not be realised in the film, it matters to its tone and style and to the telling of the story.

Due to the loss of our original location, we are now looking for something similar - a cell, a dungeon, a basement or vault. If anyone can help or knows anyone who may be able to provide this at a reasonable cost, we would be delighted to hear form you.

Below is a video of the original location and a couple of reference pictures.

The look, colour and feel of the film will be designed to flow in tandem with the journey of the the story's primary protagonist, Courtney Piggott. Beginning with a warmth to resemble Courtney's comfort in achieving his objective, then melting into a cooler green as that confidence fades, turning to hope, and ending in a frosty blue when nothing else for him remains.

The film will feel just old enough to capture the essence of steampunk, even harking back the the black & white world of film noir or the Ealing comedies.
