Project
Bump
In 2022 I began writing Bump. In 2023, Very fortunately, I was awarded the Screen Ireland Actor as Creator fund. And now, 2025, I'm delighted to say Bump is IN THE CAN!!!! Over Paddy’s day bank holiday weekend, we shot Bump. With THE most incredible cast & crew & team, we worked so hard to pull off the ambitious script. Working our tiny budget to the cent, pulling favours left, right and centre from family, friends & loved ones, we did it! And I am so proud of what we created.
However, now on the other side & seeing the potential of our film, we've realised, unfortunately, that to finish the film we need a little help. I wish we could avoid this awkward juncture, (we really tried!), but it's impossible. To finish our film we are seeking support in additional funds, which will go directly on the post-production of Bump.
So, here I am. With my little tail between my legs. If you are in a position to donate to the completion of Bump, I would be so insanely grateful. This film was made from pure passion and heart. I really believe in it. All the funds donated will go directly on the edit, colour grading, sound design, film score, sound recording & festival submissions.
Myself and the team poured blood, sweat & many tears to get us to this point. Now just one final hurdle. If you can spare a thing, to help us finish our film, thank you so, so, SO much.
A little more on the film & some BTS below...
Bump is a psychological thriller about pregnancy & climate anxiety. Bump explores the extremities of the new-age, uncomfortable conversation; is it ethical to bring new life into this world?
Clo and Tadhg are a young couple in Dublin, at the start of an optimistic pregnancy. However, when Clo anxiously fixates on the climate change debate on ethics of procreation, her world rots from the inside out. Under a new spell of hormones and oxytocin, Clo’s need to protect her unborn baby takes on a whole new meaning. Exceedingly fixated on her personal responsibility to the planet; she loses her sense of self, safety and reality.
Bump follows Clo over one day as her faith in herself as a capable parent corrodes, tempting her with the depths of unspeakable darkness. Clo becomes a victim of her own fear and mind; threading the line between reality and delusion.
