Friendship

Ewan and Tim are stuck. After a much regretted, spur-of-the-moment invitation leads them to a hike of the Wiltshire hills, with the dark coming on they’re beginning to realise just how little they have in common. A play about standing stones, the solar system, and putting one foot in front of the other. Friendship is written by Kit Brookman and directed by George Nichols, for VAULT Festival 2022.

    VAULT FESTIVAL 2022 CANCELLED

Unfortunately, this year's festival was cancelled due to covid concerns. This means that Friendship did not take place. This has obviously been very frustrating for us, but we fully support the festival's decision, and applaud them for putting their audiences and artists first.

We are still intending for the show to happen in some form, but are taking our time to do this in the best possible way. With this in mind, the money already raised will go a huge way to securing a future for the show and making a production viable. Of course, we understand if the change in circumstances means you no longer wish to donate. We'll be getting in touch with all pledgers regarding this imminently.

Thank you for your continued support.

    FRIENDSHIP

Ewan and Tim are stuck. For Ewan, caught in the wake of a terrible loss, the future seems like a blank, while for Tim, about to not-exactly-welcome his first child, it seems like a terrifying map where every path he takes ends up in disaster.

They’re also stuck with each other. After a much regretted, spur-of-the-moment invitation leads them to a hike of the Wiltshire hills, with the weather turning bad and dark coming on they’re beginning to realise just how little they have in common.

And they aren’t the only things walking the hills this night. Something else is out there, something strange and ancient, and Ewan and Tim will need more than luck if they’re going to make it home…

A play about standing stones, the solar system, and putting one foot in front of the other.
