Fresh from the police station, best friends Harper and Blake sit before Full English breakfasts at their local pub. They attempt to distract themselves from Harper’s spiking two nights before, and the police’s verdict there is “nothing they can do”. Harper has flashbacks of the club night where she was spiked, and we see a stag-do dressed as various breakfast items.
As the girls chat over their food, Blake’s no-show Hinge date from that same night sends her an abusive message before blocking her, sending a desperate- to-be-loved Blake into a spiral. In an attempt to find his Instagram and message him back, Blake stumbles across a photo of him in the club, dressed as a Baked Bean as part of that same stag-do. In a flashback, we see an unknowing Harper’s drink spiked by the Baked Bean, before Harper and Blake swap their drinks, the bartender having mixed up their order.
Back in the police station, Blake and Harper beg the police to open an investigation, convinced they know the identity of Harper’s spiker, and believing he meant to meet Blake in the club as planned and spike her, before their drinks switched. Despite being armed with screenshots of his name and photos from Instagram, the police officer’s incompetence leave them unsure if their information will amount to any investigation at all. In an embrace, they find comfort in their friendship, where the system and their experience offers them none.
