GLINT
From director Sayna Fardaraghi, "GLINT" is a coming-of-age short, told through a psychological horror lens. In a stylized visual exploration of teenage anxieties, "GLINT" follows 17-year-old Helena, as the uncertainty of her impending adulthood begins to threaten her sanity. “You exist within an infinite universe containing infinite potentials of you.” Which will you be when you grow up?

The real fear in coming of age...
"GLINT" is a short film that explores the uncertainty of not knowing what you want to do when you grow up. Described as Black Swan meets Lady Bird, the short will focus mainly on the idea of time running out (childhood going away and now deciding what you want to be), as well as the many versions of you there can be when there are endless possibilities in the universe.

Why GLINT?
Helena's fear of the future and its endless possibilities causes her grip on reality to become weaker and weaker.
As young filmmakers we know how terrifying growing up can be, we all go through it. Specifically, we want to speak to the anxieties of a generation whose understanding of adulthood is being shaped by the internet. Our goal is to create a story that will resonate with people who feel just like us, stuck in a place of uncertainty, not knowing what's right, and clinging to the innocence and simplicity of childhood times.
Our team is made up of people who are currently going through these experiences and we struggled to find this sort of existential fear in the coming of age genre. Glint is both darkly comedic, and deeply vulnerable, encapsulating the emotional turmoil of leaving childhood and facing the future.
