WHO?

GOBBY GIRL PRODUCTIONS,  FEMALE PILOT CLUB and FUNNY WOMEN are producing a show for the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, with 6 nights at a 150 seater from 18-23rd August.

 

THE SHOW! 

The show is written, performed, produced and directed by women only (imagine that) and all the writers and cast were recruited through open submissions via our female only communities.

It's truly wonderful and diverse (and funny!) gang.

 

WHO IS IT IT?

The show is weaved together by a brilliant and lovely stand up comedian each night and the cast are being announced this week - but they are brilliant and funny and wonderful.

WHAT'S THE POINT?

Only 11% of British sitcoms are written by women, but we think women are hilarious so want to show them off. We also hope to release a female only sketch show on TV or Digital after.

 

WHAT'S THE MONEY BEING SPENT ON?

We need to travel 10 people to Edinburgh from around the UK and put them up for 7 nights in individual bedrooms. We also need to pay for flyers, posters, promo, props - oh don't forget the props?

It is expected to cost between £5-10k.

 

WHY SHOULD I DONATE/ SPONSOR?

Why not? We are lovely and it will be great to be part of something from the start. Become a theatrical entrepreneur for the price of a posh latte or 4 Greggs vegan sausage rolls.

We are aiming to sell tickets to the show, so its counter intuitive to offer out tickets for sponsors, however, we will aim to get you in every night and be sent information on transferred shows first!
