Thank you to everyone who donated to our initial crowdfunder - We managed to shoot 3/4 of this film on the initial shoestring budget and I must say it is looking fantastic!

We are now looking for a final push to build the elements of the set for the last 3 days of filming - We'll be building Buckethead's ominous lair and everything that goes with it, including bloody prosthetics, gory details and of course, improve on Buckethead's terrifying presence!

An Interview with Buckethead - is a quirky comedy horror shot in a mockumentary style from award winning writer, director Matthew Camfield & creator of The Last Garden - a multi award winning dystopian Sci-Fi.

A Taste - For an idea of what we're aiming for, imagine - The Blair witch Project, but shot cinematically with all the hilarity of What we do in the Shadows! We'll be shooting interviews, action, death, murder and despair all in a glorious anamorphic aspect for that additional cinematic kick!

Synopsis - After acquiring "fame" through a series of legend hunting podcasts, Martin & Macy (The M&M Mystery Hunters) begin their most exciting expedition to date, the hunt for Buckethead. Having heard of the podcasters successes Martin & Macy are approached by a somewhat enthusiastic film crew who offer to film the hunt for Buckethead, little do they know that he is real, he is a man... A very  lean, sexy man - with a bucket on his head (up the right way mind you) & the crew are dragged into a world of murder, myth, madness & hilarity.

About Us - We are Matchbox Studios, a multi award winning film production studio based out of Northampton headed by award winning writer/director Matthew Camfield - creating emotionally resonant, hilarious & terrifying stories that will... Hopefully? Make you feel something more than the current rinse & repeat model of Hollywood!

What we're raising funds for - On the verge of bankrupting myself funding the rest of this film past the crowdfunder goal, I am calling out for help to fund the final scenes of our film - The encounter with Buckethead - played by Ewen Weatherburn

The money will be used to build the final set, Buckethead's dark, bloody, corpse laden lair, it will also pay for the prosthetics of the brilliantly thought out - Axe to Face shot! as well as decapitations & gunshots created with practical effects for that extra dose of realism!

Martyn Spendlove - A hilarious actor starring in several feature & short films will be playing Martin of the M&M Mystery Hunters

Sarah France - Known for some roles directing and starring in multi award winning short films, Sarah is playing Macy, our meek, hippy chic female lead, working alongside Martin to capture Buckethead... on film!

Ewen Weatherburn - 6 foot something and built like a brick shit house, Ewen comes from several high profile feature films on the big screen and Amazon including a starring role in Tom Cruise's latest film "Diggers" - he will be playing the flesh mountain that is - Buckethead

Ketan Majmudar - Has a plethora of experience including months as a core supporting Artist Targaryen Guard on House Of The Dragon S1, and tons of feature roles on shows like The Witcher, Ted Lasso and Silo to name a few. Ketan has appeared in shorts, commercials and micro features as well as regularly narrating Audio Description tracks for theatrically released feature films. He will be playing our overly confident Camera Guy, Sid.

James West - Our sound recordist... Playing the sound recordist? Yep that's happening.

Adam Lee - Playing the film crews producer, a quiet brooding type unhappy with the status quo of the team.

Gary Halliday - A long time actor from back in the day, featuring on Coronation Street in the 80's and a plethora of films & TV since then, will be playing Gerald, the hard nut horror hunter, or so he wants you to think!

Matthew Camfield is a Northampton based, multi award winning Screenwriter, Director & Production Designer.

Unsatisfied with creating short films, after Producing & Directing 13+ of them - Matthew began his journey into feature film narratives with his debut "The Light of Dead Stars" which is currently running around the festival circuit picking up awards as he types.

An Interview with Buckethead is Inspired by Matthew's Enter the Agency short web series & the works of Taika Waititi (more notably "What we do in the Shadows") the concept stemmed from wanting to create a dark, bleak world, spatter it with blood & make you laugh about it.

Nothing can really describe the film without seeing it or reading the script, so I hope that you're support comes with the trust that me & the crew will create something awesome as a result!
