Off-Licence
Young shopkeeper Youssef works the late shift at his family’s corner shop, juggling his uncle’s relentless expectations and the daily grind of dealing with difficult customers. Struggling to find his own path, he resents the moral lectures his uncle preaches. As the night takes an unsettling turn, he begins to see his surroundings in a different light. Tensions escalate into a confrontation that leaves the truth buried in the shop’s CCTV dead spots.
Danny Baalbaki wrote and directed Off-Licence as part of his MA in Directing, bringing his vision to life as a short film. It’s set to hit the UK and international festival circuit this year, and any donations will help make that happen. Every bit of support gets it one step closer to the big screen!
