Meet our Composer, Paul Dingle. Paul's music career started 31 years ago. He has represented Yamaha UK globally as a solo performer and composer. A highlight being representing the UK in the world finals of the Yamaha Music Festival, having won both national and European events. He made several TV appearances performing his acclaimed original compositions World War III and Joyrider, both hybrid compositions blending orchestral arrangements with period synthesisers. He has led performances as conductor across the UK. Paul believes that music provides an adjacent narrative to film making rather than merely providing colour and will be scoring this narrative for Lurk.

"In terms of style, the story reminds me of an old German fable, so I would like to deliver the story in a stylistically gloomy, yet theatrical way, with a clear narrative structure and moral message. However, I want to update the genre to suit a modern, adult audience by making the genre less predictable and more thrilling. Essentially, I see it as a "coming of age film meets old, thriller German fable''."

We plan on filming on the first week of April, shooting from Monday the 4th to Saturday the 9th. This is mainly to adhere to the child performer’s school holidays. We will need a good amount of time at each location, and to ensure that your money is spent properly, we would like to ensure that everything is shot with good care and attention. Please see the budget below to see where all of your kind donations are going!
