The Queen Is Mad
Joanna is fiery and dares to speak her mind. When she unexpectedly becomes Queen, her father and husband are determined to silence her. She went down in history as Joanna the Mad; what if she wasn’t insane, but furious? SIX meets Sondheim in this dark saga inspired by Catherine of Aragon’s older sister.

DECEMBER 2024
Our hit song 'Locked Away' was shortlisted for The Stiles and Drewe Best New Song Prize and we were delighted to have Natalie Paris (SIX) perform it at The Other Palace for the final.
‘Locked Away’ was also played on BBC Radio 2! “Mmm, defiance!” - Elaine Paige on Sunday
NOW
We are now making strides to take the expanded musical to Edinburgh Fringe with four new songs and producers attached to the show. We will be performing at the prestigious venue ZOO Southside Studio for the full length of the festival. This is the biggest version of the show that has ever been done which is why fundraising is integral to bring the show to the next level. And that's where you come in!
YOUR DONATIONS
The money we raise through donations will bring the show to life like never before. In order to take the show to Edinburgh we need to fund a full rehearsal period, a marketing campaign, accommodation, performer fees, new set, costume and props, as well as venue hire!
We would be incredibly grateful for any support you can offer. If you want to hear more about the production, or just say hello - we would love to hear from you at thequeenismadmusical@gmail.com
We also have a sponsorship pack available with additional perks for donating other amounts, please do get in touch.
