    // THE STORY //

    Random Facts About the Sky follows Michael as he makes awkward attempts to connect with his boyfriend, Billy, via the lovers Billy has invited into their bed. However, embarrassed by Michael’s unique humour and general demeanour, Billy drifts further and further away. But, when left alone with free-spirit Lex, Michael gets an insight into a world where he can be loved for just being himself.

    // THE VISION //

    This is a romantic drama with a comedic tone. It is a universal story about queer people, where - importantly - the characters’ struggle is not because of their queerness. We all experience the themes explored here - insecurity, jealousy, loneliness.

    It is incredibly important to this team that this story is told by queer actors. Too few films concerning the LGBTQIA+ community are told by members of that community, and we want to celebrate our talent. Beyond authentic queer casting, this story revolves around four very different men and that should be celebrated - different race, body shapes, ages etc. It is a story about gay men - whether they are cis, non-binary or trans does not matter.

    We also aim to celebrate queer creatives in the process - through collaborations in costume, music and set design - to tell a story that unites us all in love and heartbreak.
