Remember?
"Remember?" - a short film about forgetting. A light-hearted dramedy about love in the hands of fate set in present day London. Divorced couple Raymond and Joan haven't managed to keep in contact ever since Joan's forced relocation back to the UK. After a miscommunication, they end up in the same day care center that just opened in town, much to their children's chagrin.

WHY WE'RE MAKING THIS FILM
We're making this film because, why not? But most importantly everyone on our team have worked on various films together and each person pours a certain warmth in their lives into their art, which is why we wanted to work towards making this film a reality!
Remember tells the story of salvaging warmth in unfinished stories left behind. Maya thinks it's important to see that while Alzheimer's is very real and can be scary, the disheartening aspects of it shouldn't negate the little joys we experience! Even though we do still get a sense of life's realities through their children, Remember is a love story between two individuals set in the hands of fate. We’re making this film to bring a humorous light to the illness and of course, hopefully further kickstart all of our exciting careers!

WHY WE NEED YOU
Help support us and be part of our film! In other words, "spare change please?"
We are hoping to raise at least £3,300 to bring a fun, hopeful take on having such a scary illness. The money will be used for production design, transport, locations, food costs etc. While raising production costs is essential, we also believe that in making this film, it's important to give back. Which is why a fraction of the money we raise will also be donated to a care home or community centre of Maya's choice. Filmmaking is expensive and funding is hard to get, so we really appreciate every bit of help we can get to make this film a possibility :)
With your money we will also be in a position to be filming in a decent vehicle of choice. Between the rising cost of living and— lets be real— inflation, you wouldn't believe how much more expensive it is right now to rent a vehicle for shooting! You can help us fulfil our artistic vision which allows us to acquire the necessary kit and training for the production to go smoothly and most importantly, safely. We're hoping to bring a quiet warmth in the visuals while still focusing on the depth of the story/characters; we want to fulfil this story's greatest potential with just a film that can bring the littlest bit of warmth in this cold, cold winter. All this costs money though!
If money's not something that you'd be able to help us out with, there are also other means in which you can help! Kind words and helpful advice would also be greatly appreciated. It's just not about how many people you know, it's about who you know! Just sending and reposting the campaign link would still be a HUGE help, especially if it's to people who are likely to think we've got something great here!

MOOD BOARDS AND REFERENCES
Maya and Steph have a particular look in mind. They're using simple, centred framing to capture the mundane and meaningful. In both their work they try to show small yet delightful moments in a world that doesn't stop for anyone.
