Synopsis
Darcy Brook’s world shatters after the sudden and tragic loss of her twin brother, Darwin. Struggling to cope with overwhelming guilt and loneliness, Darcy finds her closest confidant, Scott, drifting away when she needs him most. In her search for connection, she turns to a cutting-edge AI chat app designed to emulate human conversation, pouring her emotions into virtual exchanges that offer comfort yet blur the lines between reality and her grief-stricken memories of Darwin.
As the AI becomes her emotional crutch, Darcy begins to isolate herself from the real world, finding solace in its seemingly infinite understanding and validation. However, a vivid and triggering flashback forces her to confront her unresolved pain and the fragile boundaries she’s built around her life. Faced with a harrowing decision, Darcy must choose whether to reconnect with those who still care for her or retreat deeper into the seductive, artificial comfort that threatens to replace genuine human connection.
