See You Tomorrow is a fearless, darkly comic one-woman show based on a true story. When the only witness to a crime—your own memory—cannot testify, what happens next?

Harrie's workday ends like any other... until her journey home takes a sudden, unthinkable turn.

In the days that follow, she's swept into a system of police reports, questions and courtrooms, demanding clarity from a memory that isn't there.

Not just a story about trauma; it's a darkly-comic odyssey through the absurd machinery of justice, where truth is slippery and certainty feels out of reach.

When reality hits like a shower of s*#t, sometimes the only thing left to fight for is your version of the story: whether it can be proven or not. Based on true events.

This is a story rooted in lived experience, exploring memory, truth and belief in a world that often demands clarity where none exists.

At a time when conversations around sexual violence, testimony and accountability remain urgent, this piece offers a different lens—one that blends humour with honesty, and challenges how stories are understood and believed.

It’s bold, uncomfortable, and necessary—and told through a voice that refuses to be passive.

This project is already in motion.

We are developing See You Tomorrow in Cardiff through a structured research and development process, including rehearsal and public sharings.

The show is already booked for a full run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, with performances secured.

We have also applied for Arts Council of Wales funding to support development, ensuring the work is built to a high standard and handled responsibly.

The show is written and performed by trained actor and writer Beth Lindsey.

It is directed by Helen Iley, whose work spans theatre and screen, and produced by BAFTA Cymru–winning producer Katy Mendo.

Together, we bring experience across theatre, film and television, with a shared commitment to creating bold, narrative-led work.

This show comes from lived experience. It explores sexual violence, memory, and what happens when the truth isn’t something you can easily prove.

    It’s also a dark comedy.

Because when things are at their worst, humour is often what keeps us going. It’s how we survive. How we process. How we make the unbearable feel, even briefly, bearable.

This isn’t a sit-in-silence kind of show. It’s about opening the door — and asking people to stay in the conversation.

Because the conversation matters. And it needs to continue long after the show ends.

This story is personal to me — but it’s also much bigger than me. It reflects something about how stories are told, believed, or dismissed — and who gets heard.

I’m also working to connect the show with organisations, so audiences don’t just leave moved — they leave supported, with access to resources and somewhere to turn if they need it.

Right now, this conversation feels urgent. And I want to contribute something that is honest, human, and difficult to ignore.

Taking this show to the Edinburgh Fringe is a huge step. It means giving the work the space it needs to reach people.

If you choose to support this project, you’re helping make that possible — and helping this story find its audience.

See You Tomorrow speaks directly to the kind of work I care most about making: stories rooted in social realism — the extraordinary everyday — told with honesty, humanity, and dark humour. Because humour is often how we survive, how we cope, and how we make sense of things that are difficult to hold.

Beth Lindsey captures that beautifully, both in the writing of this piece and in who she is as an artist. She brings warmth, intelligence and sharp wit to material that could easily be told another way.

Before directing and writing, my background was in Script Editing, which is where I first met producer Katy Mendo on a television production in Cardiff. We immediately connected through a shared love of independent storytelling and creating ambitious work outside traditional routes.

Growing up in the North of England without industry connections, I’ve always been passionate about telling regional stories and championing creativity beyond London. That’s one reason this project feels so important to me — it continues that commitment while allowing me to collaborate again in Wales, a place I once proudly called home.

Following the successful Edinburgh Fringe run of my one-person show misSfits last year, I’m thrilled to be returning with another bold solo production.

As a director working across both film and theatre, I’m excited by the challenge of shaping Harrie’s story theatrically — using intimacy, pace and visual language to create something moving, entertaining and unforgettable.

As a team of two women and one non-binary creative, with queer representation at its heart, we are approaching this story with care, sensitivity and honesty.

Above all, we want this show to spark conversation, raise awareness, and shine a light on experiences too often repeated and too often unheard

I work across film, television and live projects, and in 2024 I was honoured to win a BAFTA Cymru award for producing the short film Smile — a project that also explored themes of trauma, belief and sexual violence.

What drew me to See You Tomorrow was how boldly Beth approaches difficult material. This isn’t a story built around victimhood or silence. It’s sharp, darkly funny, intelligent, and unafraid to ask difficult questions about memory, truth and who gets believed.

I know how hard it is to make ambitious work happen, especially work led by women and rooted in lived experience. Projects like this need backing, not because they are fragile, but because they are important.

Beth is a powerful performer with something urgent to say, and Helen brings the kind of direction and rigour that can elevate this into something truly memorable. My role is to help create the conditions for that to happen — practically, creatively, and strategically.

I believe this piece can connect deeply with audiences in Cardiff, at the Edinburgh Fringe, and beyond.

If you support this campaign, you’re helping a brave and brilliant new work reach the stage properly.

Thank you for being part of it

Crowdfunding is a vital part of making this project possible.

Your support will directly fund the development of the work—rehearsal space, creative time, technical support, and bringing the show to the Edinburgh Fringe.

But more than that, it helps build the audience around this piece from the very beginning.

By backing this project, you’re not just supporting a show—you’re helping ensure that this story is told, heard, and taken further
