Set in 2050, the world population has nearly exterminated, with the ones left behind in survival mode. The human population is now divided into two; The Archetypes and The Outsiders. And there is only one thing they are fighting about; WATER. 

Our main heroes are John who is a plumber and an Outsider, fighting for survival with his son Deacon. They drive in their truck across the country to find water for those in need, and for themselves. The tension between them rises, as Deacon's partner is due to give birth, and water sources have been cleared out. Deacon blames John for the death of his mother, but can he be a better father?

We are a group of international and diverse filmmakers who are passionate about CLIMATE CHANGE. With the Truckman, we want to emphasize the importance of embracing one another during times of crisis. Scientists are already warning the world that we are at a point of no return in terms of the damage we have caused to our climate, and the situation that we present in the Truckman is very much likely.   

We strongly believe that by making a film where the water crisis is apparent in such a dramatic way, we can convey our message and support for climate change. By portraying cinematically what can very much so happen by the year 2050, we will prove our point about the urgent need to take action against global warming. We would also like to point out the importance of love, support, and friendship, especially during times of crisis. Should people turn their backs on another in times of emergency? Or come together and find solutions as a team? 

Writer/Director - Andrea Catinella

Andrea Catinella is a Short Film, Commercial, and Music Video Writer and Director with a keen eye for storytelling. Over the last two years, he has realized two Short Films that have been selected and concurred in various Film Festivals around the world. His previous Short Films had the topic of mental issues and inner demons. He's passionate about writing characters who are broken inside but are still able to pull themselves together.

Producer - Yasmine Alice

Yasmine Alice is the owner of Bastet Productions and an award-winning Producer/Lawyer. She has produced 7 short films to date, 2 of which are currently in post-production. She has numerous documentaries and has also worked for news networks. She has a track record of film festival success, awards, and televised distribution deals. She actively supports diversity in casting and tackling social injustices in her films. 

Co-producer - Sonia Amini

Sonia is a half Italian and half Iranian producer. She was born in Forte dei Marmi, Italy, and moved to England in 2019. Currently resides in London where she founded the Three Good Vibes Films Production. She produced short films and a commercial and she is working on new projects (documentaries, short films and commercials) to be realized in 2022\2023.

Writer Assistant - Antonino Triolo

Antonino Triolo was born in Siracusa (Sicily, Italy) in 1992. After a degree in religious sciences and a master's degree in pedagogy and didactics, he is continuing his specialization in the field of historical-theological research with the University of Turin. In addition to his activity as a professor in the schools of Piacenza, he also works in the field of mass media: podcaster, content creator, screenwriter.
