Wanna Go Home
Music Video for the song ‘Wanna Go Home’ by the upcoming indie artist Ella Tobin. WGH perfectly encaptures a feeling of alienation and loneliness even when surrounded by many people that most of us have felt at some point.
Project
Wanna Go Home
‘Wanna Go Home’ by the upcoming indie artist Ella Tobin tackles the subject of fitting in society and how we often find ourselves in situations we don't want to be just to do so.
MEET THE ARTIST
Ella Tobin is a 22 year old songwriter and artist from South East London. Raised by her English mother and Indonesian father, Ella was immersed in music from a young age, allowing her to discover her passion for singing and songwriting. Drawing influences from artists such as Phoebe Bridgers, Ben Howard, and Lana Del Rey, she pairs honest lyricism and haunting melodies to create a blend of dreamy, folk-infused pop. Aside from writing and recording, Ella has been sharing her songs with strangers and singing at stations around London for many years. This led to her being awarded the Gibson Prize in the Mayor Of London's busking competition in 2017. In 2020, 'Wanna Go Home' was also long-listed for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition. Currently, Ella is working on her debut EP- a collection of songs that navigate through the personal yet familiar anxieties and emotions that often surface alongside growing up, which she hopes to release early next year.
DIRECTOR
David Salelles will be at the wheel of the project. He has written and directed multiple narrative short films as well as music videos. He always aims to infuse his projects with social commentary that will make the audience question the way they think, mixing it with eye-catching visuals and an entertaining story. David always tries to push himself with every new project and 'Wanna Go Home' is no exception. This will be his most ambitious project to date as it will have many moving parts, from a large cast and crew to visually complex scenes.
CINEMATOGRAPHER
Sarah Viegas is a Brazilian, UK-based cinematographer with in-depth knowledge of broadcast technology. With experience in fiction and non-fiction projects, she is passionate about music videos and documentaries but most importantly she wants to work in projects that empower young women by giving them a voice to tell their experiences. She is now looking to expand her skills by participating in this project and is excited to bring this music video to life.

WE NEED YOUR HELP
In order to bring our vision to life, we will need as much help as we can get. We aim to raise £2500 that will cover every aspect of our production such as hiring the location, cast, travel expenses, and props amongst others.
This is a passion project for us and we truly believe in the potential it has. We intend to bring it to different music video festivals across the globe and get a wider net of people to discover the amazingly talented Ella Tobin.
