A mysterious dot has appeared and is soon brought to 
investigation by a team of ‘’experts’’. 
Will they be able to uncover the true meaning of the dot?

With this film the director intends to challenge the viewer to look at characters and interactions that are easily analysable, but has no symbolic value. She hopes to invite the viewer to watch the film as a form of exercise in not to overthink, simply by accepting the events unfolding in front of them as nothing more than entertainment, and furthermore, challenge the viewer not to add their own meaning to this mysterious dot.

The people behind this production:

Hi, I'm Ditte, the director of ''Dot dot dot?''. This will be the 3rd short film I am directing, and I am super excited to be working on a production like this, that really pushes the creative and experimental boundaries. Before directing, I used to work as a production assistant, post production assistant and set designer for various productions airing on national television in Denmark. Most recently, I have completed an internship for the Danish production company, Nordisk Film Production, inspiring me to take on the challenge of this production.

Hi, I am Hyias, the Director of Photography. Originally from Hong Kong, I'm currently studying filmmaking in London. My goal in this film is to figure out what the dot is.

Hi, I'm Adella and I'm the writer and production designer. This project is really exciting with a brilliant concept (by our wonderful director) filled with comedy and satire in so many layers that l've loved building both on the page and in the visual world of the film. I've written various short films, some recent ones being 'The Last Supper' (dir. Kushagra Anand) which is currently in production and my directorial debut “Flowers for the Resting”.

"…?", is an amazing concept and a thrilling venture for a sound designer, realising the landscape of the dots identity. Using sound design to encapsulate the true essence of the film and concept. Allowing the sound design to reflect our characters most inner and intrusive thoughts.

Привіт! My name is Ester, I'm a Ukrainian producer of the "Dot dot dot?". Over the last year I was a part of 7 short films working in various departments ranging from art, to camera to directing. Producing this complex yet simple, ridiculous yet relatable idea is a challenge of the very best type for me.

Hi, I'm Thomas, the editor on this project. I've worked on short films before as both an editor and DOP. I as well have no idea what "The Dot" is and I don't think I'll find out either.

The story we want to tell:

One day a mysterious dot appears on the wall inside a regular office building. As government officials are unable to identify the reason for the origin of the dot, and special forces are unable to link it to any criminal activity, a team of ‘’experts’’ are called to the solve the mystery. The team of experts consists of a prodigy quantum physicist, a naive priest, an award obsessed filmmaker, an art dealer, and a guy called Reg. They are accompanied by the dedicated reporter and opportunity-grasping head of marketing. As the experts begin to examine the dot individually, it quickly becomes clear that their views of the dot are very different and completely contradicts each other. This escalates into an intense discussion between the characters in the room, challenging their individual beliefs. As word about the dot begins to spread to the outside world, the society turns into chaos; the stock market is plummeting, the dot-ology cult is founded, and various demonstrations of the dot are established. As the films conflict, the chaos of the city and the discussion on the meaning of the dot reaches climax...
