The Little Things
"The Little Things" is a short narrative inspired in real life, portraying a relationship between a father and his son, where poverty, a broken home, and love, surrounds their relationship. This film works as a social realist video with the aim of connecting to those whom experienced growing up with the absence of a parent but with their love, surrounding them still, in each step of their life even when their heartbeat stopped a long time ago.
Billy is a young boy whom waits impatiently for the day his father comes and visits him to take him out. The days go buy as they play football in the park, throw stones in the lakes, and passing time.
After some years go by, Billy; now a young man, is going through the stuff of his dead father as a way or remember golden days. In the process he finds a pair of jeans. Jeans that will be a type of heritage for him as long as he keeps them.
In our short film, the roles of the father and son are pivotal, anchoring the narrative with the authenticity of their relationship. Both Brooks and Jackson Livermore bring their wealth experience and depth to their respective roles, infusing each scene with a palpable sense of emotional resonance. Their on-screen chemistry is vital, as we rely on the natural dynamics between them to convey the complexities of a father-son bond.
And we are beyond honoured to be able and work with them.
It's not just about delivering lines; it's about embodying the shared history, love, and conflicts that define their relationship. As they navigate the journey of loss and resilience together, their performances serve as the emotional heartbeat of the film, drawing audiences into the intimate world of their characters' lives.
