When an eight year old budding impressionist performs for his family hoping to raise money for a new bike, his routine threatens to expose their deepest secrets unless they pay up.
Blabbermouth is a short comedy that takes its inspiration from memories of performing for your family at gatherings.
We've all been there!
Our hero Simon a precocious 8 year old wants to raise money for a new bike. Here he sees an opportunity to make the funds by blackmailing his family revealing their secrets... unless they pay up!
What follows is a laugh out loud comedy as the family tried to shut Simon up. It's a multigenerational cast with siblings, parents, uncle, grandparents and great grandparents creating a modern family.
Will the family pay up when bedwetting, secret boyfriends, political views and affairs are revealed during Simon's routine?
We would love you to meet the Blabbermouth team!

We want to make a film that is full of life and energy, giving the audience something to smile about.
Making people laugh is at the core of Blabbermouth and as we put together our cast we want to bring our enthusiasm to the set.
Below are visual references for how we want Blabbermouth to look and feel. The film focuses on a multi-generational family and we want to capture each character's personality. Bringing a special energy to the dynamics at play here will translate to the camera movements and edit.
Family is at the heart of Blabbermouth with a wide range of characters and personalities, we'd like to introduce THE WINTERBOTTOMS!
SIMON (8) Precocious, freckly and inherently funny.
TIA (14) Bullying older sister, becoming a full teenager.
TOBY (5) The youngest, mummy’s boy and cry baby.
GAVIN / DAD (38) Distant father, very well paid job but always working away and super busy on the phone.
SARA / MUM (38) Young at heart, very encouraging of the kids ‘talents’. Hates being a stay home mum.
GRANDMA (62) A soft touch for Simon who has him wrapped round his little finger. Hotel manager.
GREAT GRANDPA (88) Just had enough of it all.
UNCLE PAUL (34) Body builder and self obsessed.
With the funding from this campaign we plan to use it for.
We have already secured funding for the post production process so your backing will be spent putting everything on screen!
The goal of Blabbermouth is to get it out on the festival circuit giving audiences something to smile at.
Alongside that the team are planning an online festival with other comedy shorts showcasing talent and premiering Blabbermouth!
