Dark Isle: A new musical

DARK ISLE is a new musical based on the true story of the 'Flannan Isles Mystery'. Set in the Outer Hebrides in 1900, our story shows what may have happened to three lighthouse keepers behind the closed doors of their lighthouse, and in the lives of their families back home.

'Isolated on the Flannan Isles, three lighthouse keepers - Thomas Marshall, James Ducat and Donald MacArthur - will vanish, but what sealed their fate: The daily rigours of island life, or each other? Meanwhile Thomas's mother - Mary Marshall - and James and Donald's wives - Annie Ducat and Eliza MacArthur -  must navigate uneasy friendships and decide whether to come together, or fall apart in the face of overwhelming tragedy.'

This new musical is written by Composer & Lyricist, Ralph Warman (Book Music & Lyrics member), and Book Writers, Matthew Hessey & Katherine Tripp.

We are fundraising for our first concert performance as part of the Wanstead Fringe in September 2023, and for the future development of the show. If you would like to support us on this journey we would love to have you onboard!
