Since March, we have been trying to find new ways to connect with those we love, whether it be with phone calls, zoom meetings, or online games.
Fish Bowl Fest wants to help facilitate these connections and bonding experiences in a safe and accessible way.

Want to learn how to play?
If you donate £15 or more to the campaign, you will be invited to the exclusive Fish Bowl Fest Launch Party on Sunday, November 29th, hosted by our team. We'll teach you how to play and then you'll play with people from all around the world. If you donate £30, you'll get the opportunity to choose one of the words in our opening game (slots are limited and approval will be up to our discretion).

The usual holiday festivities are going to look very different this year, but that doesn't mean we still can't celebrate. The Fish Bowl team guarantees that you will have a fun time.

With Holiday Pub Crawls off the table, a lot of us will be missing the people we normally reconnect with this time of year. Is your friend group hilarious? Do you have a wacky family? We'll help you facilitate and broadcast your own personal game of Fishbowl! Share the mirth by showing these pandemic-proof bonds with the world. 
Call your family, text your friends, reconnect with people you haven’t seen in years, or just since the world changed. This platform is for everyone: theatremakers, filmmakers, comedians, poets, clowns. Even if you don't consider yourself to be a performer, the game will make sure viewers and participants all have a fun time. 

Create a Digital Production this Holiday Season!
Fishbowl is inherently theatrical, but you don't have to be a performer to play it. We're asking people from all walks of life to come together to participate in the fringe festival using our platform. Sign up to be a part of the festival with a group of your favorite people. 
Get creative! Inspired by the format of the game? Write a script about it. Have an idea for a hilarious set of words? Have a themed game. Do you have a hilarious set of friends? Broadcast an entirely improvised game. We provide the platform and the publicity, you provide the content! Best of all, it's totally free to be a part of Fish Bowl Fest.

Fish Bowl Fest is all about delivering a high-quality product on a low-budget. The Festival costs nothing to be a part of and requires no additional spending from participants. However, we do need to cover some costs. The most major one is the platform: the now ubiquitous Zoom is an amazing platform for connecting with others, but it's not cheap. The majority of our budget will go towards purchasing a premium Zoom plan so we can facilitate this festival. The rest of the budget will go towards paying the people who are making this happen. We want to support the artists and technicians who are making this happen, especially given the financial uncertainty we're all facing. The last bit of our budget will go to marketing and publicity, to drum up support from both viewers and participants who are essential to making this festival happen. We are initially only asking for £1000, but if we reach that goal, we would love to expand the festival and make it even better for everyone involved. 

Grace O'Keefe- Executive Producer
  Grace is one half of the Queens of Cups, a production company that she founded with Erin Holland. The Queens of Cups host new writing nights based around the cycles of the moon, New Moon Monologues. She also is a Marketing Manager here at Greenlit. Grace completed her second master's degree at Royal Holloway, University of London studying Theatre Directing under Katie Mitchell OBE. Grace additionally holds a MA in English, a BA in English and a BFA in Musical Theatre.  Originally hailing from Baltimore, MD, Grace has been active in theatre and film production as a director, actor, and teacher.

Erin Holland- Education Coordinator

  Erin is one half of the Queens of Cups, a production company that she founded with Grace O'Keefe. The Queens of Cupshostnew writing nights based around the cycles of the moon, the New Moon Monologues. Erin completed her Playwriting master's at Royal Holloway, University of London, a PGCE in English with Drama at Middlesex University, and a degree in theatre at Brunel University London. She has taught English and Drama at secondary schools in London. Her one-woman play, "Bad Teacher" based on her experience teaching at a London secondary school, is set to debut at Underbelly at next year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. 

Seán Butler- Production Coordinator

Seán Butler is a writer and director from Dublin, based in London. He studied Theatre directing under Katie Mitchell, OBE for which he earned an MA. He was awarded a place on the YTI mentorship scheme for Gavin Kostick and Dani Galligan’s GYM.SWIM.PARTY, directed by Louise Lowe in 2019. In summer 2018 he won a scholarship to study at the Abbey Theatre Summer Studio at the Lir Academy Dublin and was also awarded a place on a Masterclass with Robert Icke.. He has made work in both Dublin and London.

Avi Moondra- Technical Coordinator

Avi developed the online version of the game Fish Bowl while quarantining in April. He currently works as a software engineer at Atrium, and has previously worked at Indiegogo and Oodle. He graduated from Duke University with a BS in Computer Science and Statistics.
