French Toast II
Following on from the award-winning short, French Toast. Jada, Tai and Sheridan survive London's COVID-19 2020 lockdown through daily Zoom lunches while WFH. After Tai's devastating secret tears the group apart, Jada must come to terms with her 'picture-perfect' life and her fiancé Simeon has a lot to answer for. It also explores the nuances of institutional racism.

Why You Should Pledge
As a sequel to French Toast, we already have the majority of the cast and crew on board. We are seeking funding to add to our current budget backed by two executive producers to ensure this film is executed meticulously.

Director Statement
This story was born out of freedom and memes. Balancing watching the news with scrolling Instagram and laughing at sketches, then wanting to spread joy whilst the world was in a juxtaposed state of chaos and stillness. Despite being a Key Worker, Lockdown 1 in 2020 gave me the space to be creative with no other responsibilities. I wanted to tell a small slice of the stories Covid forced on us, infused with comedy and amplifying the collective voice that united humans to support Black lives and the need for equality worldwide.

Hi 👋🏽 As part of our crowdfunding to complete my short film French Toast II, I'm pleased to share that we will be having our wine tasting during Black History Month on Sat 5th October.

Table Read
We got the cast together for the first table read. It was amazing to see such a talented group dive into the script and bring the words to life. This is just the start to our journey to bring French Toast II to your screens!
