Your support means a lot to us!
Hidden is an upcoming film that impresses not only visually, but mainly through the message it conveys. It is based on the voices of those who did not have a chance to use them. While working on this project, we would like all its members to know that they are doing something of greater importance, spreading awareness and keeping the memories of those who can no longer pass it on. For this reason, we would like to recreate the world of those times, focusing our budget mainly on the art department, all the decorations and costumes that would help to portray the surroundings from WWII. After finishing the film, we would like to submit it to various film festivals to spread the message even further. We set out a goal to raise £1500 in order to take us back in time to 1940s reality. However, the more we raise, the more accurate and moving our film will be.
We cannot do it without you!
Award winning, passionate and talented student filmmakers, who want to create a film that will touch many hearts and keep the horrifying stories from the past alive. The message that this film conveys is a memory and a tribute to those who have cruelly lost their lives in WWII.
Hidden will encourage the audience to follow moral values in life, focusing on what is really important and what matters. In addition, this film is a warning that such events must not be repeated.

Born and raised in Poland, the events of the past had a great impact on my upbringing and my perception of the world. Stories told by family members always touched me and evoked feelings I could never explain. Speaking on behalf of those who have not had the opportunity to do so, and let their significant stories survive is something of great importance. Writing Hidden was an emotional journey filled with many uneasy reflections. Telling a story through the elderly and a child’s perspective, the most vulnerable people, seemed like the best way to reach the audience with the message Hidden conveys. Creating this film will not only be a great chance to raise awareness about the topic our generation slowly forgets, but it will also be a way of uniting with other incredible and passionate people to promote peace amidst constantly emerging hatred.

As a filmmaker, I aim to make something meaningful and change the world even just a little bit. The suffering and horror which was caused by the World Wars should not be forgotten. People should never be subject to discrimination or hatred on account of their beliefs or ethnicity. However, such situations have happened and people made other people go through hell on the Earth. Therefore, I strongly believe that Hidden will remind us about the priceless value of peace.

Specialised in camera and photography, I felt called to join Hidden due to the memorable and heart wrenching journey that it cinematically embarks on. Hidden sensitively displays and immortalises a forgotten part of history that has been subsided by many. Representing domestic struggles and religious injustices, I believe this film is crucial to contemporary understandings of Jewish history and trauma. As Hidden’s director of photography I aspire to visually and emotionally adopt a child’s perspective in a nurturing manner. As a filmmaker I am drawn to creative challenges that will strengthen my understanding of human experiences and trauma.

I love that I can contribute to telling this touching story with more than one deeper meaning. The II World War time frame is close to my heart as a Polish person who has been hearing all those stories through relatives for years. I think it is tremendously important to spread stories of minorities and the obstacles related to our knowledge about the Jewish people during the war makes me even more excited about overcoming them and spreading awareness not only within the audience but also the crew. In the end, the stories we want to tell within this short film have been ignored for years - and it is a great time to finally break through! I am so excited about how we are going to creatively show the loneliness and “hiding” theme through the camerawork and transform it to emotional media format!

The story of Hidden and how it captures the tragic memories of the war really spoke to me as I believe this genre of film is one of the most important to keep alive. Coming from a Jewish family, I feel privileged to be able to work on this film and help new audiences understand the personal and public struggles Jewish people undertook at that time. I am excited to be the art director on this film as small touches such as props and costumes have a heavy impact on how a film is perceived and helps create the realism we thrive to have. I aim to be as culturally and politically correct with the aesthetics in this film and honour the timings of the war. I am looking forward to working on this film with the rest of the crew and seeing the final outcome.

It is a true honour to collaborate alongside other like minded filmmakers on Hidden, a deeply important story that needs to be addressed. I see Hidden as an opportunity to challenge myself and learn new skills through sound recording & sound mixing. Along with the other crew members, I understand the delicacy and precision of filmmaking required, especially in order to reveal the tragic horrors and atrocities that took place during World War II, and presenting it in an honourable way. The opportunity given to shine light on the horrendous realities of those during this time period is a privilege that I will not take for granted.

When I was given the script of Hidden I knew that I had to attach myself to this project. To place you, the audience, within the soundscape of the World Wars and to make you feel the terror and horror of what my ancestors experienced; the narrative was truly something that hit home. This is one of those eye-opening projects that I could only dream of taking part in. As Sound Designer, I will work with my amazing team to bring to fruition this ambitious story which will keep you in suspense. I am completely committed to Hidden, and hopefully you will join us too.
Hidden will be a journey through learning not only about the craft, but also about the events of the past, and what importance they hold to this day.
To never be forgotten, and never repeated!
